Default LACR closure!?!

Does anyone know anything about this? I seen something on the news about the rock company needing the land to expand their processing plant and they will be kicking the track to the curb.
Not that i go there alot, but damn that sucks. I grew up right down the street. I really hope they re-open Terminal Island, if LACR goes under.

There are a lot of rumors going around, but yes Granite needs to dig up the area where Bernie is leasing for LACR. This has been known for over a year now. From talking with Bernie, John and Jeff ... there are no plans set in to relocate LACR. Bernie was investigating different locations (like behind Plant 42, opposite of 70th St. E). But ... time will tell.

My buddy bumped into the owner of the Terminal Island track who said the coal company went out of business where the track was and he is going to reopen it. No set dates, but the plans are already in motion. From what I heard it will open as an 1/8 mile and then expand to a quarter after more clean up. I heard about LACR a while back, and will be sad to see another track gone.
