sts and smog in cali I have the STS on my camaro anybody know where i can get it smoged in cali? it should pass smog but not the visual the carb # should should be out soon for it just need it smoged now thanks
this is an email i got from them almost a year ago! wonder whats going on.

just an FYI... shade was the worst and biggest liar that worked there.. and he quit in December 05... "Joe" is the guy that took over Shades area's.. and he is a bigger liar than shade.. he'll tell you anything to make a sale... they only work on commission there.. so.. you be the judge

the only thing that was given a CARB EO# was the 04 GTO kit, using the GT67 and meth kit... thats ALL!!!
Carb doesnt give "blanket policy's".. they test each car, each system with every part, because 1 car model will react to a system differently, or require different components for each system..
do yourself and your car a favor... wait till they get the EO(executive order) # from CARB (if they ever do).. otherwise if you get nailed for "car looks like its a street racer" by the cops.. you're in for it if they tow it to a ref.

There is no CARB number for the F-body system. There are a couple things to try. The first is the write down the GTO STS kit CARB number and bring it to them. They might take it. The other option would be to disconnect the charge pipe at the intake and reinstall the stock airbox and and filter. Since the turbo is mounted post-cats, they can't fail you because of it. It's just a really expensive muffler 
Obviously the smog tech will know whats up, but he can't fail you if the charge pipe isn't hooked up.

that document WAS correct for about a month... then, that document was later changed.. to ONLY be the 04 GTO... that CARB EO # is not good for anything other than the 04 GTO... if you dont believe me.. call up CARB or hell... call up STS.. speak with rick or dave.. and they will tell you the same thing.. their website states this as well.

acutally if you know where to get the stuff.. you can make it for less than 1600$... the main cost being the turbo
hell their "at cost" price for employee's is 1000-1300... some people on this board have done it for around 900$...
