I mean honestly the only time you really need a spot is maybe for heavy bench or squats.
I'm comfortable putting up to and a little over 300 on the squat bar and going solo... thats why they have the safety clips.
on bench, just pyramid to your top weight instead of doing maxes.
everything else, including behind the neck and front neck shoulder presses and most everything else should be much easier to just work alone on.
partners just hold you back usually... however, they can be motivational.. somewhat.. but my friends cant handle it.
i find it easiest to work out alone too, except when needing a spot on something heavy, otherwise unless your partner lifts a lot more or is extremely motivated, you will probably end up doing less and taking a lot more time
