Red face So... cali members... Stone Brewery...

who wants to send me some stuff?

all I get in this shithole state of texas is Arrogant Bastard and the regular IPA ... both of which I love, but I want to venture out...

Anybody willing to ship me a few six packs?

I've been wanting to try the following:

Ruination IPA (6 pack)
Levitation Ale (6 pack)
Smoked Porter (22oz bottle, would like at least 2 if possible)

I know, technically it shouldn't be done, but since people tend to send large packages of car parts, a care package of beer should arouse zero suspicions, however, they should be packed fairly well (wrapped individually with newspaper then packing popcorn stuffed to the brim of a box to boot) ...

I'll pay, of course, gas fee's, shipping fee's, actual cost of the beer, etc...

I just hate not being able to get things like that in TX

anyone want to help me out? send a PM if so

I know the fed tells these breweries they can't ship out of state, like wineries, so most (if not all) are reluctant to do it. I think the wine industry was lobbying to change it, but that's neither here nor there.

One thing you can do is ask your local liquor store to get it for you. Its almost guaranteed they will be able to get what you want, but just don't stock it believing it won't sell. I did this last year to get my hands on some good Pumpkin Ale. All they did was contact the distributor and I had it in a week. Didn't cost anything extra either.

oh they ship out of state, it all depends on where they're shipping it and the laws of such states... in Texas, unfortunately, the TABC charges a fuckton for micro brews out of state ... we only get IPA and Arrogant Bastard from Stone, from Red Hook (one of my favs from Washington) there was only ESB available until this year, which they brought in both the Long Hammer IPA, and apparently a seasonal will be available this year (Winter Hook ***)... hell they only just started getting the Rogue Dead Guy and Chocolate Stout down here in march...

it just depends on what, unfortunately, the brewery is willing to shell out to be able to sell down here. It's pretty retarded IMO.

I mean, don't get me wrong, there is an amazing selection at the local liquor stores (Specs), but as much as I drink, they just don't have what I really like or want to try.

Being from the Northwest, I'm used to seeing a far better selection.... and honestly, the majority of texas micro brews all taste fairly the same (saint arnold, rahr and sons, etc)

so, you know...

There is a Liquor store down the street from my work that sells the 22oz. Smoked and Ruination.
There is also a Beverage co. near my home that sells the Levitation and Ruination by the bottle.

If interested PM me. I'm down to send em'

BevMo is 2 miles away from my house. Heard that it was great but I haven't had a chance to go in yet and check it out for myself.

Did you try my advice? It'll save you a ton of money.

If money is not an object. Put a "bounty" on it and say "$75 to whoever can fill this order".

Bevmo is awesome. It's like a little Costco for alcoholics.

bevmo won't ship hardly anything to texas... *******
I tried asking Spec's and the "other guys" and even some of the distributors... basically, if the brewery hasn't paid "dues" or whatever, it's not going to be available here.

I seriously want these things... I'll pay a bit extra for whoever does it of course, figured that was a given for doing a favor, got a few PM's but no one replied once I did

I love random threads...
if anyone can get me cost of beer + cost of shipping I'll definitely make it worthwhile to ship it

Dude, have you tried a mom & pop liquor store?

If Stone has shipped one item, they can ship others.

tried everything.

even the distributors won't get them down here...

if they've only shipped IPA and AB, that's all I can get down here, end of story

TABC has fee's for every "type" of beer by a brewer ... for the longest time the only red hook I could get down here was ESB ... just recently (like, 2 or 3 months ago tops) we finally got the Longhammer IPA ... because Red Hook finally wanted to get more recognition in the largest state I suppose... I still can't get winterhook, nor can I even get their blonde...

TABC = suck
