The race trucks is a lot of fun, definitely an addicting experience.
Also, im going to be building a lq9 in the next few months for my race truck. What local places should i go to for parts etc and who should i stay away from?
What kind of build are you going with? Stock long block, or some sort of forged build?
I'm originally from Houston, Texas and I took the LME path when deciding on who would build me a lq9 boost motor.

As for "LOCAL shops" out here I would be jumping the gun on recommending anything because I honestly don't know any shops from personal experience yet..
I will say that a few friends have had dealings with A&A Corvette and neither recommend them because of the lack there of in the customer care department.. Opinions are like ******** as they say.. right?
Further away in Murrieta I had my Camaro's first tune done by Ryne Cunningham @ CMS and I can say they also build quality engines after a 370 build for a close friend of mine.
And my last even further away experience in San Diego was Excelsior Motorsports. The owner seemed friendly when I spoke to him and I will say that the guy does have experience with LS powered sand rails. He loves customers money though... lol
What trans setup is your truck running?

I feel sorry for the victims, but man it makes my blood boil that those guys couldn't have taken the race to a non populated area..
