Just because they are "valued" at X price does not mean the public will pay that much for it ESPECIALLY on egay. You'll be LUCKY to get 60-70% of what it is "valued" at to be honest with you.
Only cards I see with value are 1st editions. All others than that are not really even worth selling IMO.

but not only the 1st editions are valuable, i have 2 cards with manufacturing errors. and got some Japanese ones that are worth lots more than the English ones. Im not gonna lie i didn't party tonight, but found out that im hypothetically a little richer

I use to collect X-Men cards as well, and Baseball cards. I have the card that shows Mark McGuire beating the 61 home run record... dno where it is though... have some Nolan Ryan cards too, and many others...
when i was a kid. I didnt wanna get a bunch of pictures of middleaged men to collect. darn lol
