I got one a few months ago going 107 in a 60. On my way home from church! My ticket was about $300. I took it to a local (Dallas/Fort Worth TX) attorney and paid them 1/2 of that $150. They told me it could take up to 6 months and they would contact me by mail. They said I had a 50/50 chance of getting it dismissed; or worst case scenario, I'd half to pay the full fine and they'd get it deferred. (wont go on your record). 2 months went by and I got a letter in the mail. It was dismissed!

Best $150 I ever spent

^ it can be wreckless driving charge by it just all depends on the cops knowledge and supposedly if you break 110 with a passenger you can also get popped for attempted murder and your car can be impounded

No not a felony. But it is an arrestable misd. When i got caught on the 210 going 140+ they wrote it up as 105+ plus. Had to pay a $1800 ticket. Thats all. Not suspension, no impound, no jail time, didn't even have to get outta the car when i got pulled over.

it would help to know the cvc code to give you a better answer.

if it is only cvc 22348 (b)(1) the max is $500 and or suspension no more than 30 days

That is also dependant upon the county he was caught in. I know Ventura county takes the license and fines the max per the law ($500). L.A. county on the other hand passed that bill where all traffic fines are multiplied by 300%. That's why my ticket was so high. They really weren't that concerned with taking my license.

When i got caught for mine a dude at work got caught about about a month later. Him in Ventura, me in L.A. The outcomes were exactly as stated above. Soooooooo........... Like i asked before what county does it say on the ticket?

He cited you for both over 100 and over 65? Cant be cited twice for the same violation, might be able to pull a double jeopardy, or at least get one thrown out if you fight it.
