Problems with torque arm

Problems with torque arm Keep hearing the banging noise everytime i start to slow down or shift well found out that the torque are was lose so i took it out torque it down now wont line up anyone ever have a simular prob and what did you do to fix it?
What part won't line up. rear mounting bracket or front nose part? Did you check the mount alignment, bolts for proper "tightness"? Check the T/A for bends, cracks? I dont see how there could be a mis-alignment like that if there is not something up. Oh yeah short or long arm?
Wierd, I use the same mounting brace on my BMR short arm and i was able to wiggle it in all directions a few inches, it would just move the rearend w/ it. 
Might wanna try just shoving the whole thing back, rearend itself might have just shifted forward a bit when you removed the T/A. Easiest way is to raise it by the body and let the rearend hang, if it isn't already lifted that way. No big deal, it doesn't really sound like anything is broken.
