Default Score!

I just took my usual trip to the junkyard not too far from my house, Ecology Autoparts, and I stumbled upon a LT1. I pulled the motor out of a 96 Z28 M6 convertible. I got the complete engine, wire harness, and PCM for $230 + tax!!!

Damn...that is a steal. I remember looking for those in the junkyards and being told that they wouldnt sell them to the public because they put em on ebay.

Nice find!

Haha, a sand rail would be a lot of fun. I'm not sure how I want to build this one up. If nothing goes wrong and I don't have to sell it, I will be building it for my 97 SS. It won't be started/completed for a good while though, gotta save up.

Here is a link to some of the parts I have found. http://westboundgmcedition.com/forum...hread.php?t=88

There is a F body scrap yard up in the valley and like I said there is a link to inexpensive Rotating assemblies (check their store as this link is LS). I will be setting up an account with SCAT soon so I will let you know when that happens, Website should go live in bit and will add tech and vette sponsorship then.

Did you see an LQ4 or LQ9? I think I asked you already, But I am gonna try Pick a part in Wilmington.

I have never been to the F body junkyard Darkknightrider tipped me off to it I have not been there. I figured one of the Valley guys could check it out and give us a report.

No, but there was a LS 4.8 liter with one cracked head...you could probably get it for real cheap, but I don't think that's what you are looking for.
