i just saw it last night. BEST MOVIE! its so intense. its one of those movies that keeps you at the edge of your seat and keeps you guessing with surprises of whats going to happen. but dam i wish Heath Ledger was alive...... best actor performance right there.. really captured it. n best batman so far! 
wish katie holmes was in it though.
very good movie and well planned out. good story line. if you havent seen it GO!!! im going to see it again!
but yea i was a lil upset at the end of the movie they didnt do anything for Heath Ledger. like a R.I.P. or something...?

In the credits it did say In Memory of Heath Ledger and some other person that I don't know. Although, they really should have made a more extensive tribute then this one liner that was so far in to the credits that most didn't even see.

Batman was the first full-feature film to be filmed using IMAX. (From what I've been told) The whole movie itself was not in IMAX but there were many scenes that were in IMAX.
But to somewhat answer your question, IMAX is a bigger screen that the normal ones. 72.6 ft by 52.8 ft but not limited to that size.
