gettin past the sniffer So does anyone know if the texas speed three inch catted y will pass the sniffer? I know its not Cali legal visualy and wondering if it will hold to the emissions testing here. Basicaly I am wondering if those cats on it are OBD 2.

I asked the owner of a smog station the very same question. He told me that if it had cats, it should pass the sniffer.. but obviously, it wouldn't pass the visual. If your car doesn't pass with the catted Y pipe.. you might need a slight tune.

i have the tsp catted y w/long tubes and i just tried to pass smog, didn't work. Although, my cats may be done. I'm not really sure if it was the cats or the longtubes and the highflow cats in general. I went to a normal smog place and he said on the first try he knew it wasnt going to pass but that we could try another shot at it that it but he started to and it didnt look like it would pass again then he noticed the headers and was going to give me a hard time. Then I had a friend whos a smog tech look at it and he said it MIGHT pass if I got new cats or put stock cats on it

Yeah, I've got LT's on to a true dual and need to bolt somethin on to pass. I know visually I'm f***ed, but I want to see if I do it without having to take her all the way back to stock. Plus, I'm double f***ed cause I don't have the stock components anyhow. They were lost in my move to Santa Clara. So we'll see. I just got off the phone with someone at Texas Speed and he said the cats are magnaflows and they are OBD 2 as well. He just said what everyone (for the most part) knows that they are labeled off road cause of the relocation, but they should be passing the emisions.
