no offense george, but you are WAY off. My car drives way better then yours does and I have a HUGE cam by your standards. Once you get your car tuned. you will realize that you can have some camshaft without losing too much driveability

and BTW, a mid size cam will NEVER make the same power as a large cam. no way around it.

the only reason they are selling them is bc they are going bigger!

someone just Pmed me about camshafts, i always suggest something around a 232ish duration, because they might sacrifice about 5 to 10 peak , but make more everywhere in the powerband on these stock headed ls1's. you have to realize that when you run such a large cam in these stock compression motors it shoots your DCR to **** and torque/ midrange power suffers

i agree with what you said. i think with such a beautiful car, a "large" cam would kind of kill it.

A MS3 is not that large of a cam, my buddy has it in his SS with stock heads and bottom end and the driveablity is the same, other than the lopey idle.

check out the charts on this page there is some good stuff. If you scroll down they have them all plotted on the same graph so you can look at the rwtq and rwhp of them at the same time.

That was very informative. It appears that you don't have to sacrifice much to see impressive gains with each of those cam, the MS4 being on top. I don't mind giving up a little low end torque and hp to see a big jump in hp and torque in the top end.

I have the F13 and I like it a lot. It make's great power and pull's very hard but I am also thinking about going with the MS4 or the TRex myself.
