Just want to start a long term build of a 406 for a TT setup. I want to do this with in few years so I won’t have to spend all the money at the same time. I am just thinking what tranny will I be able to use with this setup. Or I am just going to start with a 6.0 Iron block.

How much boost do you want to run?

The LS3 block should handle the boost fine with good internals.

You should be fine with using the LS3 block. Just get some nice forged pistons and rods and you'll be good.

If that is the case than I have not need to buy the block unless I can get one for cheep. I'll just start buying internals. What do you guys think, should I get a 4" stroked crank or not? I know usually a boosted motor does not need to be stroked. I want it to rev crazy fast no higher than 7K RPM. Also what internals do you guys think are better to go with? I don’t want to get the most expensive but also I don't want the cheapest, something that will take the pounding of all out daily driving.
