2000 Camaro Z28
2000 Camaro Z28 I am looking at a Black Camaro Z28 with a 6 speed manual, leather, all power options, and T-tops with 144,xxx miles. I am looking at buying it for $4800, is this a good deal?

Even without knowing the condition I would say it is too high with that type of mileage. You KNOW you will have to put $$$ into that car within months unless it has been perfectly maintained and babied all it's life. Then you will have $5k-$6k into it easily when you get tired of it (or it breaks BIG time) and want to sell. No one will give you what you put into it and you will be stuck with a 150k mile car that may need work. You can do much better with lower mileage cars in this buyer's market. These cars can last up to 200k but you better know it's history (use and maintenance) from day #1, otherwise you may take a rather huge financial hit in a very short time period. It's one thing to keep a car for 3 years or so and lose $3,000 over the life of ownership as that breaks down to just $1,000 per year for lots of driving and fun. It wouldn't be fun to lose it all in a short time period. Don't get hurt. The ball is in your court as the buyer.
