What is this 2002 1LE worth?
What is this 2002 1LE worth? I hope this is the right section. My dad is considering selling his Camaro when the new ones come out. He heard the 02 was the last (he owned a few first gens when he was my age) so he ordered this one up (we are a GM dealer) when they were still making them.
It's a 2002 SS 1LE hardtop, Auburn diff, 6 speed (hurst short throw), no trac. control, no cd changer (has the single in-dash cd though), none of the heavy options, summit white, 6,000 miles, garaged it's whole life, looks like it just rolled off the assembly line. Basically he wanted the best corner burner he could get. It might be one of a kind but since SLP didn't release detailed build info who knows.
Anyway, what do you think the car is worth? KBB says $11,530 in excellent condition which sounds completely retarded. Maybe in 30 years it would be a Barrett Jackson car but he's considering selling it and I'd kind of like to talk him out of it because it's fun as hell to drive and has koni double adjustables along with the other 1LE goodness and mine doesn't

Honestly, I would hang on to it. A low mileage 2002 is going to be worth a lot some day. But if your really looking to sell, the price is in the eye of the beholder. I have seen some people ask $20-25k. The bottom line is don't let it go unless you feel like you are getting your worth out of it.
Yeah we made that mistake with another F-body. Sold a pristine matching #s 1969 Camaro SS/RS 350 4-spd for $15k with a 475hp built 355sbc and Richmond 6-speed in it (orig motor and trans was included).
