That 15-year old car is getting to the point where you throw away the KBB and value guide books. There probably are not many MINT low mileage editions left anymore so now the buyer has to ask himself how much he wants the car. If you are just absolutely in love with the car don't deprive yourself from getting it, but be smart!! There may be no one in your area that feels the same way about that car. How long has it been for sale?? If on the market for over 30 days then that probably confirms that no one is interested in the car or they just have not found it yet. You certainly can't go wrong for $10,000 for a car like that so offer that and see what they say. Most likely they will come back with a counter bid somewhere in the middle. Just walk away from the bid and go home. Within 3 days you will very likely get a call saying your offer was accepted or much closer to the $10,000 figure. Good luck with it. Let us know if you actually go after it.
