Looking to buy, whats it worth? All the book values are low because its 10 yrs old but its a rare and beautiful car. He's askin $15,900 what you think I can steal it for?

Wow! Nice find! Sounds like a one-owner and obviously non-abused car if it has the original tires. Put a new set of Goodyear GS-D3s and change all the fluids and you have a basically new car. If the owner has not done any of the fluid changes then you might explain that ALL need to be done due to age, not mileage. From Dexcool to power steering fluid to brake fluid, etc... A dealer would charge about $800 to change ALL the fluids. Add $700 for a set of tires and use these examples as bargaining chips. I figure he would want $15,000 but gentle persuasion might get him down to $13,000 - $13,500. If the car needs zero maintenance and he has done it all already, then give him $14,000 because you are getting a new 10+ year old car. Let's not even talk about the color which is highly desireable. Good luck in your efforts! Don't pass it by if you love it. An extra $1,000 will mean nothing down the road if you are that close in your negotiations. How many cars can be out there in this color and condition? There should not be many repairs needed in the car's future.
Thankyou sir you are one of the few that always gives me some imput when I post something in whats it worth? I figured about the same around $600-700 for tires from tirerack. I went to look at the car and take it for a drive its beautiful. I have never seen a HOSS in person and the white leather just blew me away. A very desirable color combo. He is the 2nd owner but his family owns the dealership that it was originally purchased from. When the original owner traded it in for a new vette he took it home and in 2 1/2 years he put 800 miles on it. Its a case of too many cars and nothing to do with it. He has dealer plates so the car was never even registed to him so I would be the techinical 2nd owner. I plan on calling him and offering him a little over $13,000 and see where it goes from there. I just sold my 99 camaro so its almost difficult buying another the plan was for a WS6.
