What Am I Missing? First, I'm not asking this question to dog anyone selling there F-Bod here, I own a 02WS6, 35K with $15K in custom work myself. But, what am I missing with SS and WS6s with low miles being sold for new or nearly new price?
It doesn't add up when you tin our cars aren't even 10 years old, antique is out of the question and frankly I don't see our cars as collector models yet. Is there a sudden demand for our cars? Hell tyring to get a 2nd F-Bod and banks won't load anymore than $12K on a 02; that's 120% of the loan value...
I know it's loan value, but Edmunds and KBB aren't much less behind, so what gives?

New was in the $30,000 neighborhood and verts even higher (mine was $33,000, non-WS6). You can get almost any F-body today for $20,000 to $22,000. I mean basically 'new' one-owner cars with less than 20,000 miles on them, some with less than 10,000 miles! That is very reasonable for this car. I am going to disagree with you and despite what many say, this will be a collectible way down the road unless gasoline disappears or the country is taken over. It isn't like they make new V8 powered GM cars all over the place anymore besides the Camaro, which I'm already tired of seeing every day on the road. I just saw 6 today on a short drive. Zzzzz. Corvettes are for the lucky few. If you like a little originality these F-bodies are the car to own which makes them desireable. The banks don't see 'collectible' or 'garage queen' when they issue loans. It is all black and white with them. The real world of 'like new, low mileage' cars indicates otherwise. Now if you want a 50,000+ mile car that is 'average to good condition' then you are in business and the bank loans are appropriate.

Agree too with you, just you said the operative owrd "way" down the road and that's the point I was making not now. Oh well, if it sold for $100K and worth $20K who's to say what is right.
