Default 1982 Chevy Corvette

The car has 36,000 original miles on it, with the original "cross fire injection" 350. Car is near mint condition! my dad took very good care of it but with his recent passing and current family financial struggles, its going to have to go. im going to be taking some pics of it soon, its got a pretty rare color i think too, Silver Green with a Charcoal / Silver Green interior. so whats it worth?

That is incredibly low mileage. That color is quite unusual and my literature shows just slightly over 700 Corvettes were painted in that silver green in 1982. I'm sorry about your Dad's passing and your financial problems. Unfortunately those early 80's Corvettes are not highly sought after due to the low HP, plus '82 models only had automatic trannys I believe. For comparison sake and to give you an understanding of the pricing I found a 1984 4-speed in Hemmings that had only 14,000 miles on it (hard to believe) with an asking price of $15,000. I found a few decent 1981 Corvettes at the last Mecum auction in FL that sold in the $9,000 - $10,000 range. Based on this recent range of 'completed sales' and hopeful prices, you might ask $12,000 - $13,000 and see if you get any calls. If nothing, then lower slowly until you hit that 'sweet spot' with some inquiries. There are some people looking for entry market 'show cars' and your Dad's low mileage example might be just want someone wants. Good luck!!

If you are still looking for price input, I just read the latest Old Cars Weekly with the Indianapolis Mecum May 2011 auction results. There were four 1982 Corvettes sold from prices ranging from $10,250 - $15,000. I do not have mileage but they were all #3 (average) cars. Hope this helps a bit more. Without knowing specifics of the cars sold, that $12,000 - $13,000 price range still seems to be in the right price neighborhood.
