1990 callaway corvette
As the title says, I found a beat up 1990 twin turbo callaway vette. Black, Has 57k on it, all the weather stripping needs replaced, and it's only firing on 7 cylinders. The cars sat outside for nearly 4 years, it's filthy dirty, targa top is cracked. Interiors in surprisingly good shape. Front fascia is chipped to hell. Any ideas how much this cars worth?

While very desireable these Callaway cars still need to bought 'right' or you would be throwing out too much money. Let me give you an example; At the 2011 Mecum Kissimmee auction in FL a true #2 1991 Calloway twin turbo Corvette went for $33,000. I looked at recent Hemmings issues for you to see what they were going for and not many are for sale. Back in August 2011 a MINT 6 speed 1990 Callaway twin turbo with only 5,000 original miles had an asking price of $30,500 OBO. These outstanding examples indicate that the car you are looking at should be priced in the lower teens at the very most. You have to expect at least $10,000 to be put into that car to get it even close to decent, or even #3 condition if as 'beat up' as you state. If major issues that $10,000 could be gone in a 'Chevy heartbeat' (pun intended). What kind of price is the owner looking for???

It's a friend of a friends dads car, he bought it at an auction for 6k. They buy restore sell for profit, they currently have over 30 cars in a wherehouse. All cars are for sale, I'm just tempted to buy it, and do the restoring myself. It's just sitting in a shed on there property rotting away, next to a 73 vette in equal shape.

My uncle used to own a 90 Callaway TT Vette a few years ago. I'm not saying the car you posted a photo of isn't a Callaway but if it is it's missing the entire body package and wheels that came on those cars.
Here a pic of what my uncles car looked like for the most part (not his actual car)

Smart! That is too high. He'll be sitting on that car for a loooonnnng time at that price. He can't justify that price. Other serious buyers have the same figures and examples I posted above. It isn't a secret.

Do you by chance know what the production number is on the car?
I hope it doesn't need turbos b/c they are made of unobtainium these days since.
$6k is a good buy, but 18k for a basket case won't happen...especially without Aerobody and no Dymag wheels.

at 6 grand i would send him the money in 5 mins, at 18 he can go blow himself, i love those cars , but thats unreal for a car that pretty much needs restored, cool car but for 18 grand you can get into an old school muscle car with alot of work done, and it doesnt have the body kit,

Some friends you have there man! I mean he got it for $6,000 and asks almost 3 times to "help a friend out"! LOL!! I mean if he would have asked at least $10,000 it may have been worth it.
