1998 Trans Am Got a message from a guy wanting to trade a 98 Convertible Trans Am for a truck I've got for sale. I'm asking $4,300 for the truck. These are the details I know about the car.

129,000mi
No mods other than 40 series flowmaster
No mechanical issues with the car/no dash warning lights on
Front seats are in pretty rough shape
Interior is in all around dirty condition but, other than the front seats, should just need a good cleaning.
Original paint, paint on bumper is chipped up, small/medium dent in right quarter
Top is in good shape
It doesn't seem like a bad deal to me, but I thought I'd ask some guys who know the value of these cars better than I do.

Good deal. Just make sure to check the fluids and see how bad the rear end whine is.
And check for dimple dents in the quarters.
Also look at the engine bay. You said the interior is really dirty. If the engine bay has a 1/4+ inch of dust and dirt on it, he probably didn't maintain it and just beat on it.

Cool. Will do. He lives about an hour and a half away from me. If the truck doesn't sell before Saturday he is going to drive the T/A out here and do the trade. Assuming it is how he described it and its not any worse that the phone pics he sent me.
