Help! Should I buy this '96 Trans Am?
I also agree about the LT1 cars being fine cars. I owned my '96 Formula for 9 years after purchasing it new from the dealer in July of that year. It was a wonderful car that I kept stock and well maintained. I believe that is the key in your search. They come up for sale once in awhile and if you want one, don't be afraid to get it. I have no personal knowledge of the below listed car but it looks pretty decent and has a clean Carfax (free in the ad). Interesting example:

No, Trans Ams from certain years came standard with metrix cloth fabric.

My aunt had a 95 TA/M6 with cloth seats. I parted the car after she wrecked it over ten years ago, but held onto the seats. They are likely going to be replacing some worn leather seats in another TA soon.
