Default 1997 camaro ss slp value

Greetings to all! I've been looking at a red 1997 camaro ss slp car that is listed for $15,500. It has 7,918 miles on it with t-tops, grey leather and six speed manual. Its a two owner car with no paint work and a clean car fax. Does anybody have an idea what this car is worth and what I should realistically pay for it.
This is an old ad that I found on the slp registery.

Despite the incredible low miles these LT1 cars are tough to sell in that price range. Owners certainly ask that amount but very few fetch that money. Lower teens would be a better price range. If you really are serious about the car and want it bad, pay right up to $12,000 or $12,500. I can't recommend paying more than that because you start getting into Anniversary editions and even 1998-1999 LS1 cars with similar low miles.
An example: Look at this 1997 Anniversary edition which has been viewed over 1,000 times. No sale at this $15,000 level.

Thanks so much for your input. The car looks really nice, but I'm going to have to think some more before I commit to donig anything. The bank will loan up to $11,900, so I just have to decide how much extra the car is worth to me.
Thanks again.

The question is, do you plan on driving the car? If you plan on driving it quite a bit, i'd find something with higher miles. Like 30-40k instead.

The reason that car is priced so high is because of the super low miles. You drive that thing for a year or two and the miles aren't going to be "super low" anymore. And then the price is going down the *******. If you just plan on it being a garage queen and going out on the weekends i don't think it's a bad idea. Just my opinion.

I want to be able to enjoy it but it definitely wouldn't be a daily driver. We have three other vehicles, so I wouldn't be at a loss there. You do make a valid point though and its something to consider.
Thanks much!

Where else are you going to get an essentially new 1997 Camaro SS for 10k off sticker? Another way to think of it. The opportunities to own something as such will be fewer as time goes on.
