1994 Trans Am Looking at buying a 1994 Trans Am with 91,000 on it. Its an automatic, with T-tops. Has got cloth interior which i thought was pretty odd for a Trans Am, its a running driving car needs a little bit of care ( has got clearcoat peeling on both front fenders & headliner sagged a little ) Other than that its a pretty solid car. The guy is looking to get 1,300 for it. I've been searching all around upstate Ny and Mass for cars close to conditon but only see them in the 2 - 3 grand range. I can live with the clearcoat but is 1300 a good deal for a Lt1 car?

$1,300 is a good deal for almost any running car. If the engine was even halfway taken care of (with oil changes, etc...) you should get many more miles out of it. Now the tough part, what is wrong with this T/A besides cosmetics? Make sure the tranny is OK, brakes, etc.. and really test the car out. You don't want to sink $3,000+ into this car right off the bat but you do have leeway for repairs at that low $1,300 price which is a huge PLUS! You can comfortably put in $1,000 - $1,500 over the course of the first year and still be OK. Good luck!

brought the car home saturday, clearcoat is peeling on the front fenders, brakes need to be cleaned up but lots of life left in pads and rotors. Just a quick glance under the car shows to be a little dirty ( oil) so im going to be putting car on lift and seeing exactly what and where its coming from. Should be a great winter project for me. After i address the running issue's i'd like to find a 98+ nose to swap onto it.
