There's no telling how much they have the reserve set at. The bidding is still open..

I was wondering at what point to stop bidding if the reserve gets met. I feel like it should have been met by now though.

No, you aren't going to get a 1,000 miles, one owner 'showroom' car for $16,000. Not going to happen. The reserve could easily be $20,000. Anything under that would be a 'good deal'.
There are serious premiums involved for cars like this. No book value can account for mileage and condition like this, so throw those price guides out the window. That's the way it is with real world pricing. This car belongs in Hemmings, or at least Autotrader, not ebay.

Looks like he wanted over $20,000 which isn't a surprise. Bidding stopped at $19,688. The seller may still reach a deal with that final bidder off ebay so he doesn't have to pay that silly $125 fee or whatever it is nowadays. I stopped selling my car club members cars on ebay 2 years ago. Not only the expensive fees, but the juveniles that screw with the listing and the insulting 'tire kickers' that have no intention of buying the car.
