The seller is asking 14,500, and for the parts listed, it seems like a good deal if there isn't something wrong with it. Any thoughts?
A stock 2005 GT in clean 'good condition' w/ clear title with those low miles would sell for about what he is asking. Now you have to ask yourself if the abuse factor is evident and comes into play. If the Mustang appears to be in decent shape with just one or two owners, and you really like the Saleen 'clone' factor along with all those mods, then perhaps you and the seller are just right for each other. You really have to be careful though about the real condition with all those mods. If the GT has been run hard it's entire life those low miles could be equivalent to 100,000 miles, with the car perhaps being a real 'money pit'. You certainly wouldn't want that, and have to start laying out huge $$ to make it right. Remember that would be money lost if you needed to sell. Yes, the owner has obviously spent thousands of dollars on this GT but his cost is NOT your cost. He obviously know that mods don't bring the extra bucks, just like with F-bodies. Once you see it and drive it, you will know if this Mustang is OK. Keep in mind that this heavily modded car has an extremely limited buyer's market in that price range. Use it to your advantage if you want to proceed. Buyers are not lining up at his garage to buy his car.
Best of luck!
