Default 2002 z28

In the near future I will be selling this car and getting back into a truck due to being simply more useful with future plans coming up. Here are the details:

2002 Z28, I'm the 3rd owner. Prior owner owned for ~4yrs and 40k miles. I will have owned for about a year in June. Daily driven only ~125 miles a week, kept clean, oil changed when I got it, trans fluid drained and filled, diff fluid changed religiously by prior owner and myself when I got it, coolant drained and filled, PS cooler deleted and aftermarket installed behind front scrape guard.

Since I've owned ~65k miles, have done new plugs, wires, IAT sensor, new intake gaskets, fuel filter change, tires, tinted windows, two front hubs, clutch fluid changed, brake fluid changed, trans mount, new 02s, and that's it.

Car presently has just a lid, Corsa, Pro 5.0, and Frost tune. No plans for further and was probably going to revert to stock for a sale. Car is black with grey leather. Interior is quite clean, exterior is good save for some rock chips on the hood. What do you think it's worth?

The maintenance history is impressive and that really helps a sale. I think it will appeal to many buyers looking for a decent F-body that has many more miles and life left on it.
I'm thinking an asking price of $10,000. NADA shows about $8,500 in my zip code so you will probably settle for a price somewhere in-between your asking and NADA unless New Jersey has higher 'book' pricing. You'll need to look it up. That's what buyers will see anyway, and providing that the Carfax is clean.
In your ad I would stress the 'well cared for' aspect.
Remember that the winter is a slower time to sell cars. Be patient. GLWS!!

Thanks for the input. Yea I was going to take it through the winter and then early spring probably put it up. It's by no means PERFECT (has a few of the typical f-body rattles... or maybe it's the single digits playing havoc with all the gaps in the interior panels), and being a Z28 and not an SS I figure most people will chip away at price. Depending on how long I own it I will probably replace the pads/rotors all around as well. But I figure it will make a nice clean slate for someone to modify as they wish.

Well to give you perspective of the low low low end of the spectrum, I just bought a 2002 black Z28 M6, no accident damage, good exterior, bone stock, torn seats, rattley interior, LS1 needs an overhaul, blown struts, 126k miles, for $2000 as a donor car for my Nova.

Around here a high-ish mileage one in decent shape is about $7500. So if yours is lower mileage and in pristine shape you could probably get $8500-$9500.

Great thanks for the insight. While not PRISTINE I figure if I clean it up real nice after winter I will put up asking 10 and let someone work down from there. 150 miles a week doesn't really make the mileage go up quickly, but here's a question:

Do you think a CASUAL buyer would care that stock DeCarbons are still on the car? They are just age wise, over 12 years and starting to show it. I was contemplating throwing some Bilsteins on there to help with the sale in terms of "new shocks!!111one", but have no idea if 9 out of 10 buyers would even notice the difference... (plus I learned real fast years ago that nobody really gives a s--- about mods in terms of asking price, as I normally wouldn't either...).

If the shocks are functioning, don't worry about it. It will make little difference to a buyer. They might have their own preference (brand) anyway. It's like tires too. Some people throw cheap tires on a car and proudly proclaim "NEW TIRES!" I personally don't want those cheap tires and would replace them immediately. A waste of money for the seller.
