2005-2006 gto value Hey everyone I'm in the market for a 05/06 gto, looking to get a ballpark price on what I should have set aside.
Features I want in the car:
Auto
Brazen orange or impulse blue preferred but paint is no where near a deal breaker as long as it's not yellow.
I'd prefer a stockish car simply to keep the cost down.
My main thing is finding one with under 50k for a good price.

I would set aside about $15,000 - $16,000 minimum for a 'private party' sale. Higher if you see one at a dealer. An '06 with 25k miles will also be much higher. I'm sure though, after negotiations, that you could get a sub 50,000 miles LS2 GTO in good condition for that money. Also set aside another $1,000 for taxes, title, registration. Depends on your state how much it would cost.
Remember not to get discouraged with asking prices. Cash in hand in the seller's driveway can mean thousands less. Take this example below. I know it isn't the color or tranny you want but gives you an idea. If the car checked out properly I'm sure it could be yours for $15,000 or so. http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...52418538&Log=0

Auto gtos bring way less money than the desired 6 speeds. With thats said the ball is in your court. Im going to say about 12500-14500 cash should be plenty just be patient and look around. Most ppl prefer manual and the autos take a hit because of this reason.
