Default WS6 pricing help

I've been looking for a 01-02 Trans Am WS6.
Is this WS6 reasonably priced?
the owner is in a rush 2 sell and I don't like buying on a whim.

It's very reasonably priced for 89K miles and by the photos looks like a steal for $7K. This young guy has put 37K miles on this 6 speed in only 2-3 years? I hope there's a lot of highway driving....if so, good for you as that's generally easy mileage. If not, then this guy may have beat the crap out of the car putting that many non-highway miles on the car in such a short period of time. Find out what his commute was. It certainly needs some stuff though (AC on the way out, etc.). How were the first 52K miles put on the car? Maybe the seller knows that. There is also no shortage of "I'm leaving the military soon....type of scams." And this guy is in a hurry to sell. I agree, don't buy on a whim unless you are in the San Diego area to test drive the car and can drive the car away with title signed over.....or have a 3rd party store it until your bank check clears (better to just use cash). Ensure the title is legit, non-salvage, and is in the guy's name. Is it really a WS6 or just has an added hood? The are no "ram air" decals visible in the photos. They're either peeled off or painted over. If the hood was repainted was anything else done along the way? Was it a quality repaint or a back yard special? Check for other signs of potential body/paint damage. The sail panel was already done. Was it done properly so it won't come back?

They want "proof" of funds before you can test drive this car. But, they haven't even paid for the car yet. Why would they even mention this negative "consumer loan" thing in the ad? The only thing that is important is that they have the title and the car. After 2-3 years of ownership they never got around to getting a new door/hatch/t-top panel key? You think that might come in handy someday if your key FOB happened to fail? With a $7500 loan hanging over their head it's not likely they dumped any more money into this car than absolutely needed to keep it on the road (did 2 shocks instead of 4, apparently didn't replace the serpentine belt, timing chain, or anything else while the water pump was out, no mention of tires purchased so figure there's 30K miles on the current ones, AC compressor clicks but they're not concerned). Not my idea of a "model" owner. Even their cell phone/camera is broke so they can't take more pictures. Ad posted 14 days ago so if it was a rip, it should have been gone by now.

Thx for the help
You brought up a few Red-flags I didn't notice.
They guys also said he got a quote for $7,500 from Carmax, which is weird.
If someone offers what $ you want, usually you sell.
I counted like 7 Red-Flags, so something is fishy.
Finding a Non-molested WS6 with around 100K miles is hard!

Fishy? Could be. The guy's had a broken phone for 2 weeks now with no new photos added. I wouldn't have thought Carmax would be much of a buyer for 12 year old F bodies with 90,000 miles. But if they offered to match the asking price there's no way that car should still be around. KBB price range on this car is around $10K to $12K. So I guess Carmax could be interested at $7500.

I entered the same car he had and Blue-book told me 8K.
And I thought Car-max didn't even consider older cars?
Car-max's website doesn't show any cars under 2004
+ if he wanted 7,500 and they offered 7.5K to him, why didn't he take it?
that's fishy to me.
I'll still go see it,
Thx for the help guys!
