Am I going in the hole! Guys I have a 97 z28 six speed. It blew the head gaskets and cracked the heads, and I had to let it sit for about 1 1/2 years. Anyway I figured I would fix it and keep it for a daily driver or sale it. Anyway I put a new rebuilt stock engine in it from Poteats Racing and it came with a 2 yr/24,000 mile warranty. Also, I put in a new optispark, new plugs and wires, new water pump, new clutch, new fuel pump, new temp sensors.
The interior, there is no rips or stains. Now for the bad, the car has the same ol' dashboard crack, and the clear coat is peeling. The car has no dents or holes in the body. So anyway after all is said and done I am hoping with labor and parts the total will be around 2,600 dollars. I hopeeeeeeeeee!!!! My mechanic should be finished next week. All the parts are stock parts, and most were bought from autozone. Now before anyway goes crazy and talks about how autozone parts are crap, my goal with the car is a daily driver not a race car.
