83 olds toronado
Would converting to electric fans, and various other modernizations hurt the resale value? car has 126k kms (I think, gotta look at the odometer again, currently says 26,xxx.1) don't wanna do too much, just stuff to make it a bit more reliable.

I would think a collector looking for an '83 Toronado would want it with the same features it had back in the day. If fans are added, the first thing a buyer would think is that there's a problem in the cooling system. Those cars cooled themselves just fine back in 1983 with a simple radiator. Just fix what's not working with stock/reproduction parts. That will maximize the value and minimize the hit to your wallet. With 126KM/78K miles it shouldn't be that unreliable. Ensuring reliable exhaust, suspension, steering, drive train, HVAC, brakes, instruments, sound system, etc can all add up pretty quick. One man's definition of "reliable" could be the next guy's definition of "complete restoration needed."
