I've got a sale price of $16.5, but I have to travel (will probably cost me a day's time and $3-400 in expesnses).
Buy it?
Edit: there was a mileage discrepancy a few years ago, it seems awfully out of place and could just be a clerical error. How much impact would this have?

I would be a little leery about buying a car with a mileage discrepancy simply because it will always be a question mark that will need to be explained to any future owners. I would be worried that even though it could easily be a clerical error, it would hurt the value compared to a similar, clean titled car. As a buyer, I would have a hard time paying top dollar or even buying a car with something like that on its title when other clean title cars are available.

I agree with you on the lower mileage cars, there's a local one by me w/ 57k on it for $20k, with service records, but it's out of my price range.
The odd thing is that carfax shows that there "is not a mileage discrepancy" in the checks, it notes that it could possibly be a clerical error.
In the video he sent, the interior looks really nice, it idles smooth, no issues and sounds good. For the prices I've been seeing, it seems like a great deal. I checked autotrader, CF, CL, ebay, cars.com, and only thing I'm seeing in the $16k range are 01s, mileage over 100k, and/or damaged.
