Not as familiar with these early model firehawks and wasn't sure what a good buy on this car would be. Its local so I figured I would look into it.

I don't know the early FH's all that well either, but $6K firm seems like strong money for 97K miles plus needing a new paint job. Anything but black and red could be considered "rare" in this version. Purple is only the 4th rarest color out of 10 available in a FH formula. The truly rare colors were the blues, greens, silver, and med red. But, purple is a popular color. Seller shows the car being driven in the Ohio snow....yet the undercarriage paint is still decent. Worth a look since it's close. You'll probably find a number of more things it needs.

Agreed I did a little bit of review of cars 1995 Firehawks for sale now and ones that have sold in the last few months and it seems that $6K seems a little overpriced for this car and its condition in that better quality cars can be had for 7-8K.

Might take $4K cash up and see how low I can take him. I think at that price it would be a decent buy just for its rarity and performance level.

Although a little biased in being an LT1 owner myself I am just shocked at how low these cars have dipped in price definitely a buyers market but there is a lot of uncertainty if they will rebound with the LSx series cars being so close in age. Even so I see the LS cars on a downward swing as of late.

It's still not summer season yet, so it's too early to say if the LS-1's have come down some since August of last year. In looking on ebay and autotrader I haven't seen many cars at all priced right. I'd say if anything, there were FAR less bargain offerings this winter than in the previous 2 winters. I was looking for those cream puff 10K to 35K mile cars being offered from Dec-March and I was sadly disappointed. There wasn't even a single decent car within 50 miles of me to go look at. Where'd they all go? It appears to me they have held value if the car's are clean, low miles, and low # of owners.

If snow was on the ground when those photos of the 1995 were taken then it's been available for at least a couple of months. If you get it $4K let us know.

You think 4K is a good buy or is that maybe even still a little to high. I mean parts like the hood/name plate/exhaust/engine would probably get you near that in a part out situation.

Also whats your thoughts on this firehawk? (seems priced a little low in my opinion)

For $4K you can probably part it ok. So that's not a lot of money. But, I doubt the owner will drop even under $5K as from their write up, they love this car. Too much emotional attachment to let 'er go cheap.

I think $9K for that 2nd FH M6 is fair. I don't think it's really under-priced. And who's to say how much wear and tear it has? $8K to $10K would my range based on varying quality. Don't see a lot of M6 LS-1 Firehawks under $10K. Most dealers and collectors think they are "rare" so they ask big money as a rule. In Nov 2011 a dealer local to me had a 2000 FH M6 formula hardtop in silver or pewter with only 28k miles. It was buyable in the $12's. These days, a clean M6 WS6/FH under $10K is getting harder to find. This one looks very clean in the interior. In one photo the driver's head light window is half open. At $9K/obo the seller has more room. With this mileage I'd only give a 5-10% premium for a Firehawk vs. WS6...many buyers wouldn't give any premium.

I haven't seen an LS1 FireHawk under $11K in quite a while to be honest. Understood it is high mileage but I don't even see WS6 cars with under around 100K go for less than $9000 these days. I to thought it looked very clean for the mileage and for $8-9K I think that would be a steal.

Unfortunate its in Las Vegas with higher mileage that is to far of a road trip that I would trust going to Ohio and to ship it I would be looking at out the door over 10K after taxes, travel to view, etc... which would open you up again to a better market
