Default 10 bolt price?

Hey guys I have a buddy that has a spare 7.5" 10 bolt with posi & 4.11s from an 02 Z28, complete with brakes and everything and he said he'd sell it to me for my third gen for $400. Is this a good deal? Not sure how much 10 bolts really go for honestly and he doesn't really know either. So I thought I'd get some opinions on here. I appreciate it, Jeremy

Seems pretty high to me, I bought one with 4.10s for $100 bucks.

$400 is quite high. I'd offer $250, maybe settle on $300 as long as all the brakes are in good condition because its a buddy but the 10 bolt itself is probably worth about $150 because of the gears.

What does "complete with everything" entail though? Rear, brake lines, brake mounting, calipers, discs, and pads?

I believe it's complete with everything as it was dropped out of a wrecked parts car. I'm trying to help JCS with his swap and figured a 4th rear would be easier than trying to convert his 89 rear to discs. Said other buddy is a good friend of mine too but was using ebay to price it.

I've sold used 3.42 10 bolts for 100-150,currently don't have any.
from an 02 Z28 with 4.10s' was probably out of an M6 car. M6ers' typically go 4.10,A4ers' typically go 3.73s'. If it is out of an M6,potentially it could be abused/severely abused.

From what I've seen on the thirdgen site, yeah a 4th gen rear would likely be cheaper and easier. The main thing is finding out whether that 4th gen is a 3 or 4 channel system, both will work but the 4 channel will need new brake hardlines that are meant for a t-block like the third gens and 4th gen 3 channel. Then a mount for the parking brake cables.

So I'd try and keep his price towards that $250-$300 range which is pretty fair, especially for an m6 rear as FirstYr said, they tend to be pretty abused.

I spent $400 canadian for a complete 4th gen rear so id say offer him $250-300us. As mentioned already about brake lines with the 3 or 4 channel system will make install a lil easier.its not a big deal to make the 4 channel work. Also you might have to play with the ebrake cables to work on the thirdgen as the cable lengths did change throughout the years.Your stock rim/tires will be wider ..almost flush to the body.

I just did the swap last week in ym driveway.Direct swap bolt for bolt.
