Default 2002 slp ss

Hello

I came across a 2 owner 2002 burnt orange SS, but am not sure if it is priced right or not. This car was number 801 to leave the slp factory back on 02. Has the base SLP package. The paint is fair no longer has the SS hood and has generic corvette wheels. Interior is good all goodies work and it has 61k. He's asking 6900. Is it worth it?

Depending on what "fair" condition paint looks like. It sounds like a reasonable deal, but It's hardly the deal of the century. You also need to get a hood and almost certainly paint it to match. Personally, I probably wouldn't go higher than $6,200 on it.

An all there and solid 61K mile 2002 A4 SOM SS would probably be a $9K-$10K car. I can't believe some bonehead sold the original hood. Doesn't get much more stupid than that. They could have at least kept it. I think $6900 is still fair if the paint is quite presentable. For 61K miles I'd expect a very good and presentable car....not fair. But with the owner(s) "parting" their car out, I guess anything is possible. If the car is an M6, figure another $1,000. The #801 has no real importance other than trying to track it down in the SLP registry....which I couldn't do. Just make sure it's a real SS with the SS RPO codes assigned.

The guy who owned Camaro SS #4084 previously (my car) sold the original hood. I just happen to own a second Camaro SS in the same color that's a parts car. That one still has the hood so I'm moving it over to car #4084.
