1998 SS 1le
My 95 Z28 had a two-tone red/black interior, even the door panels had red accents, other then a rare example of a car like this 98 SS they pretty much got away from that, and I would get compliments from LS1 fbody owners saying ' I wish they still did that! '.
There's a stain on the driver's upper seat by the seat belt loop. A blob of foam upholstery/velour cleaner will lift that right out I think. Worked for me on my driver's seat. And it left no signs it was ever applied.
Is the factory shifter still in the car? The shifter ball looks original. Do you still have the 1-4 skip-shift working running too? Fwiw, I still have it working in my car as there are lazy times I find the 1-4 skip shift easier. The screw on radio antennae is not in the photos. Is that around?

I definitely understand this. I've had mine just about as long, and it's a near match and a changeling of sorts for my first new car - so while not nearly as rare/special as yours, it has great personal meaning to me.
I am checking back in. I have been formally disabled now for several years and I can't really drive my SS anymore. I have to sit on ice packs to drive and that just doesn't work with cloth seats. I am gonna list it. Do you think Hemmings is the way to go? I think i can get $20K for it. I am sure there would be only a handful of folks that would pay that so I need the best way to advertise. I have a local friend who used to work at the GM Heritage Museum in Michigan and he gave my car a really high rating and he has been asking me if I wanting to list it through the online auction called Bringatrailer. I may do both. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Kenny
I would suggest advertising it as much as possible. There's only a limited group of folks who would be searching for a car like this and be willing to pay that sort of premium, so broad exposure will likely be key to reaching the type of buyer who would consider paying top dollar (which may still fall below that $20k mark).
