Mind altering substances may have played a role, but my guess is that it's just wishful thinking/dreaming. Looks like the seller is from the land of TA Nationals, so perhaps all the Pontiac excitement has gone to his head.
This is one of those "gray area" cars; not quite a factory production, not quite aftermarket either. Certainly worth more than something modified to similar standards by a private owner and, to many collectors, worth significantly more than a comparable factory stock example. But real value is likely 10s of thousands less than the current asking price, and will depend on the venue (i.e. some folks do lose their mind at B-J events, etc.) and market conditions at the time. CL is probably not the right place for such a car if top dollar is the goal, neither is Ebay.
