Default What do you think it's worth?

After 21 years of owning my Camaro SS, I was thinking of selling the SS. I read so many other postings and not sure what it's really worth and wanted some experienced input.

I ordered the SLP SS in 1998 and took possession in May of 1999. It's a Navy Blue SS SLP A4 with Gray interior and no ABS. I ordered the SLP car cover, SLP floor mats (not used), and chrome ZR1 5 spokes. Now has 65K plus miles. 1 owner and garaged. Never been driven or caught in the rain. Original windshield wipers, 10 Disc Changer, and SLP badging. Tinted rear hatch window.

Mods: Custom Cam, Dual Valve Spring Kit, Hardened Pushrods, GM Timing Chain, GM Water Pump Gaskets, SLP Pulley, Crank Pulley Bolt and Seal, NGK TR-6 Spark Plugs, Advanced Induction Ported and Polished 280cc CNC’d Cylinder Heads, Manley Stainless Steel Exhaust Valves, CHE Bronze Valve Guides, GM MLS LS Cylinder Head Gaskets, GM LS6 Lifters, and GM Head bolts. Custom Dyno Tune using HP Tuner, Yella Terra rockers, Powder coated Hooker LT with SLP LM II full exhaust with SS dual tips, LS6 intake, 3200 Yank stall, welded sub-frames, CAI, and HP dyno tuned by local Tuner. New grill in black with blue bow tie emblem and a hideable license plate holder.

Replaced Parts: Refurbished Anti-Lock brake box, front/rear rotors and pads (less than 5k miles), and the 4L60E has been upgraded with Corvette internals and TC cooler.

Exterior: a couple of scratches by owner trying to get around the SS in my garage...

Currently 65K plus miles, been to the track 3 times (test & tune after mods) and has been driven to Memphis twice, 2001 for LSX, and in 2002 for LSX Fest before NMCA. My last time in Memphis, Texas Motor did a wheelie so tall - that it knocked them out of contention that year.

What do you think?

Not many of us original owners left. My T/A has 70k miles and is completely stock. I haven't been looking at our prices much since the Covid crap but I always figured about $12k for my 'vert. I would also rate it as in good condition as the excellent rating is long gone just due to accumulated rock nicks and general wear over the nearly 20 years. You are probably in the same price neighborhood as mods usually don't bring any extra $$$ except to perhaps that certain buyer looking for exactly what you have. Your honesty about the track is always refreshing to see. Best of luck if you sell.

It all depends on where you live to price gauge the car. Honestly to me it’s worth keeping my trans am have to much time invested/ money and don’t want to deal with buying others people junk atleast you know what you have but if you don’t plan on getting another Fbody I would sell just very hard to find a clean one like the one you have and you know what you got just my opinion

I have almost the sister to your car. Prior owner ordered this car in 98 and it's a 99 SS, Navy Blue Metallic, t-top, neutral interior, chrome 5 spokes, cover, as mats, 6-speed, 54k miles and I got it for under $10k. Only mod was a K&N drop in filter. Body is very nice with minimal wear and interior the same.

Your car should be similar in price if I was in the market. The mods you have are fine for most and being to the track is no different than hammering it on the street. Maybe start at $11k. I wouldn't give it away.
