totaled 2004 GTO (pics)
Unfortunately I recently totaled my 2004 GTO, thankfully my insurance is going to cover it, but they are offering a buy back. I'm thinking about taking it and trying to sell the car to a shop for parts but I dont really know what to ask for it. What is a fair asking price??
And if anyone on here is interested the car is located in Summit Point WV (on the Virginia boarder).
Here are the details:
- It is a 2004 GTO with 38,553 miles. It has the original LS1 engine and T-56 6-speed manual transmission, it is silver on a black interior.
- I have owned the car since 2005 and it has been meticulously maintained ever since; always garage kept, and never taken out in the winters
- The accident resulted in both of the front airbags deploying and the radiator leaking. Side airbags did not deploy.
- The engine looks to be undamaged other than the Over the Radiator cold air Intake being damaged. I did not attempt to restart the car after the accident.
- Notable modification to the car include:
-- Pedders eXtreme XA Remote Canister Coilover kit, there is only 200 miles on this suspension
-- Full exhaust, StainlessWorks long tube headers with a full exhaust with the rear bumper modified to accept tailpipes exiting from each side
-- Dyno tuned with modest street tune
-- Aftermarket wheels, VMR "black Chrome" staggered setup, 245x45x18 in front and 275x35x19 in rear, rear tires need replacing,
-- Short throw shifter
-- Rear deck lid shaved and painted to remove the factory spoiler
-- Oil catch can installed since 2006
-- Taillights are painted with a tinted clear coat; subtle but added to the clean look- At the time of the accident the interior was in superb shape, one small scuff on the passenger B pillar and some slight wear on the top of the shifter, that's it.
What's a fair price to ask?
Thanks for any help
