Default LS Swapped 1985 4x4 Suburban!

Hey everyone - I'm hoping to get some help on this one today to get an idea of value, but mainly what to look for in a swap that was done right vs. one that was done half-a$$ed.

I'm planning to go look at a 1985 Suburban that has a 5.3 LS motor swapped into it with a Brian Tooley stage 2 cam. In the ad it states "corvette" intake and oil pan. Original 700R4 transmission. Overall the truck looks solid - original southern truck (no rust). Interior looks clean for an '85, but the hood and roof paint are faded and have a fair bit of "patina". The engine work was supposedly done by a local shop that specializes in LS engines and looks clean for the most part.

I'm always a little thrown off when I see 5.3 LS as opposed to going with something better performance wise like a 5.7 or 6.0 when spending all that time and money on something. The motor swap probably cost more than the truck. But I've never done an LS swap myself, only owned LS 4th gens. I figure the 5.3s are probably a lot easier and cheaper to come by, and better daily driving ability.

Anyways, what should I look for and what would be some good questions to ask? Electrical, ignition, fuel delivery, tuning, etc... It does appear to have an OBD2 diagnostic plug, so I can plug my scan tool in and take a look. And I realize value is very subjective on something like this, but a general range might help.
