I'm considering (not 100% decided yet) an LS1 for my next project.
Never had one before so i'm not familiar with pricing.

Was thinking about purchasing a complete used set with ls1 engine, 4L60E or T56 transmission & complete with all accessories, ecm, wiring harness etc.

Can someone bring me a bit "up to speed" on the current value of this stuff?
Are the offerings above priced right? Is there a huge price difference for 4L60E and T56?
How to adjust for higher/lower mileage?
And how much to pay for a whole wrecked car with usable drivetrain?

Looks very very high to me . You could buy a Yukon or suburban or any other running driving LS vehicle for half that .
