Default 2001 Trans Am Firehawk #6

Original owner, 2001 Trans Am Firehawk #6, Navy Blue Metallic. 22,163 miles, A4.

SLP Options: Bilstien Suspension, Auburn diff, chrome wheels, custom floormats(never used).

Engine/trans Mods: WS6 lower airbox, SLP Lid, AFR 205 heads, Futral F13 cam, AMW Catch Can, FLP LT headers, 3200 stall, customized shift kit and SFI flex plate. Tuned by FLP for power/drivability. Heads/cam installed in May of 2005 and probably less than 2000 miles driven since, never got a chance to run it at the track.

Suspension mods: Tubular rear LCAs, panhard, torque arm, welded SFCs and a drive shaft safety loop. I can't remember the brand as they were purchased nearly 23 years ago, but they are black powder coated. STB, color matched.

Interior looks and smells like the day I picked it up from the dealership, with only some wear on the driver's seat. Replaced taillight housings about 10 yrs ago with GM parts.

Looking to sell in the Chicagoland area pretty soon and trying to figure out an asking price. I appreciate any input!

PM for additional pics and videos.

Geez, those mods really limit your market. It's an easy $20k car if left stock with those low 22k miles. With the mods I can't even hazard a guess. it depends who is looking but I personally would be OUT with engine mods. Many feel that way so you have to eliminate that segment of the buying public. I guess ASK in the 20's (where you are comfortable) and see what happens. You can always lower the price later if no responses. GLWS!!

Kind of figured as much with the engine mods. Thanks for the input!

NC01TA is correct that many folks shopping in the "low mile/collector" segment won't want any significant modifications, but there are certainly exceptions to this as long as you can find someone who wants the exact sort mods that you have (and folks like that ARE out there). Having been involved with all aspects of these cars for the last ~25 years, I can recognize that your build seems like a quality setup for that era, good parts, and I wouldn't be afraid of it at all if I was looking for something like this. On the other hand, what does bother me about the '99+ cars is the bubbling roof issue. At least yours is a T-top car so this is more easily fixable, but still a big hassle to deal with. This factor is what really stops me from ever considering the big premium that normally comes with the low mile cars, I just hate to pay all of that knowing that I'll have to deal with the roof shortly after. Obviously, if you have already replaced the roof then this is a non-issue and, in my eyes, would make the car worth quite a bit more.

I've been off the forums for quite some time and didn't even really know about the roof issues! As of now it looks fine to me, but it does seem like it'll eventually happen like you said. It's a shame GM would make such a blunder.
