TT2s bent

TT2s bent well ive had a wierd vibration at highway speeds (85+) in my car for some time. prolly since the beginning of the year. figured its been the rims for the last couple months but never got around to checking it out or swapping with someone else to see if that solved the problem. i dropped my rear rims off at a local shop to have them checked out. they said that both my rear rims were bent 
. they are fixing them now. they said that old tires can bend rims...anyone have any knowledge on this? ive had my nittos on for 2 seasons and they are dead. they said that the tires can attribute to a bent/out of round rim. i dont think they are josteling me cause i had my car jacked up one time and in drive and it looked like the rim was bent... i just cant believe they would bend so easy. then my buddy said that a lot of TT2s bend. just wondering if anyone else had some kinda experience like this.

Re: TT2s bent I'm not familar with the specs of them but depending on how they are bent, it could been the tire installer bending them on the machine. If not, it have been too harsh driving conditions for the rims. No rim is exempt from bending under high stress situations...
Regarding being an "old tire"...I'm not sure where they got that one from, that is a new one to me.
At any event, it should be able to be repaired, good luck.

Re: TT2s bent TT2's are bad about that. My front wheels are like this. Their is a life time warrentty on defect's on them though so I've been told. I plan to take them off come December and have them replaced.
