I have to say it all matters on the setup and what you do with your car!
Meaning I don't think they are legal on the auto-x or drag tracks. also I don't have much faith in the stock studs. I went with ARP 3" front studs and for the drag strip I had to replace the rear moser axles in my 12bolt to 3" by "something bigger" in the rear. Hated the look of these huge studs hanging way out. But in time I like it as I know the wheel is on there good. Also the lugs are open faced and has a collar that goes through the wheel.
I run a 1/2" CNC hub centered light weight billet spacer in the front. On CCW 17x10 in front. Wheels fit on stock brakes but the wilwood 6pistons where no-go.
So if you are going for the adapter style or these large spacers. then I would buy a set of ARP stock size studs. Very Very cheap insurance. And easy to install. with the good old BFH and air gun!
