Default Wheel Repair

Can anyone add material to wheels? one of my brothers calipers came off and cut a gash all the way around the inside of his rim. Is there anyway this can be fixed? I will post pics up tomorrow.

I would think that the structural integrity of the wheel has been compromised. Secondly, PROPERLY welding/machining of the damage would probably cost more than a replaement wheel. Also, you might have balance problems.

I'd replace it.
