BOGART , bolted vs. welded ?
Both are very durable and work both perfectly fine, there should be little concern regarding differences with either regarding drag racing.
Over the many years, of actual road/street use, the bolted versions have been proven to be slightly more durable. I've seen offhand about 5 bolted style wheels damaged in about 15 years, and 25 non-bolted wheels break on the late model F-body. Remember, this is over quite a few years. Most (literally 20 out of the 25 wheels) were from customers who were using non-approved VW style radial tires. They wreak havoc on a skinny wheel. They are not meant to be stuff on a narrow wheel.
Obviously, no one likes to see a wheel fail, we do not either. Our actual history proves that the F-body drag wheels are very strong and last through many circumstances. Obviously, since most people do not trailer their cars to a drag strip. Most are using them on the street.
Let me know if you need further help.
