I'm a Nitto person. If you learn what that tire like you can make it hook very well and it drives great in the rain.

The nittos are great for the mileage and how well they grip but I just didnt like the pucker facter of daily driving a dr in the rain.

I got some 315 g force kd's off ebay for $400 shipped 3 months ago. They are great for daily driving although they dont hook as well as my 275 nitto dr's did. They are also a hell of a lot cheaper than good years, are just as wide and probably hook just as well. It just sucks that these are discontinued in 315's .

I liked my Vredesteins in the 315. Very quiet, great wet traction, predictable, and solid. They don't stick as well as my 275/40-17 Firestone Wide Ovals (which have continually amazed me) but treadwear seems awesome as I still have over half tread left with 15k on the rears. I'd still be running them if I hadn't grabbed a screw with the sidewall.

BFG's for street, M/T's for drag radial. BFG's are noticeably wider than others.

Based on your mods, i am guessing it's a daily driver.

315 nittos will be your best friend, trust me. I bolted mine right up, no mods. They last long and mine dead hook when the road is cement.

If you go to the track every weekend, MT.

I have the nitto's and they are awesome from straight line traction. Mine are really soft and you can feel the shoulder roll whenever the car corners or goes through curves. I love the traction of them but HATE the way they make the car feel like it was lots of body roll. I'm at 8,000 miles on mine and they are at 4/32nds tread. They come with 6/32nd's.

MT 315's for both if you are a serious power enthusiast. If you are doing this for looks just get street tires that last forever.
