Thumbs up Paint or powder coat?

So i have the silver and black theme going with my car and would like a black wheel with a chrome lip....but with all of my other plans for the car, its gonna be awhile I did a quick photo chop of what my Z06's would look like with black centers..i kinda like it Just curious as to what would be better...cost wise? Any ideas on how much to powder coat them or paint? They sell the z06's like this..but only a 17" front. So thats outta the question.... What do ya think? Thanks

Powder coat them if possible man. All the black centered wheels I have found have either a Stainless lip, machined or polished. Haven't found any with actual chrome lips. I think if you want that you gotta do it yourself.

just a thought... i just traded for a set of these...

if not, why dont you call one of the manufacturers or sellers and ask if they will sell you 4 18s instead of 2 18s and 2 17s?

would be worth a shot if its something you want.

Powder coat is a lot more durable and usually comes out much better then paint. Would cost ~300-400 for all 4 wheels.

However I think they'd have to take off the chrome before they can be coated...

Some other people have e-mailed and called them about 18x9.5's for the front, they said we are not making any right now..

Thats what i figured..around $100 a wheel. I'll have to check into it. I know its more durable..just was curious about only coating part of it.
