is it worth upgrading to 17's?
is it worth upgrading to 17's? is it worth it to go from my chrome 16 " stockers to 17's? will it hurt my acceleration? i have an 02 z and was wondering if i went to a 17x9.5 zr1 replica silver or chrome rim if it woul hurt my acceleration? maybe some silver z06's. any ideas?
Re: is it worth upgrading to 17's? Well, wneever you decrease the sidewall hieght of a tire there is "some" loss of tire hook up - but how big of a loss is it? I guess it is all a matter of opinion. Are you a die hard drag racer? If not just the "bling" factor if some sweet looking 17" wheels and tires are worth the "lost" hook up. But that depends on tire type too.
I have 18"s on my ride love the look and the lost straight line oh well - car grabs the curves like it is on rails, so the lost hook up is no biggie to me.
