c6 wheels on a 2nd gen?
c6 wheels on a 2nd gen? alright everybody im i joined the site because i plan on doing an ls swap on my 79 camaro. it still has stock suspension and im thinking that i want to put some wheels like the ones on an 05 vette c6, has anyone done this?
The stock C6 19x10 rims have a 79mm offset. I'm sure it's possible to put them on a 2nd Gen. F-Body, you just need to figure out what size adapters you need (4th Gen. F-Body's need 1.25" adapters). The pic below is what I mean by adapters.
If you haven't already bought a set of C6 rims, then I may be selling my set soon. They're silver painted, all 4 are stock C6 19x10 and I've got Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 275/30/19 tires on them.

2nd gens use the same offset and backspacing as 3rd gen fbodies do. Just buy a set of wheels made for a 93-02 fbody and then google Skulte Performance. He has a write up on getting the correct adapters (not spacers) to fit 4th gen spec wheels on 3rd gens. Everything should be the same after that. Just gotta make sure the width of wheel and tire will fit as I am not sure how much a 2nd gen can handle.
i have found a company that is making them in 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 im pretty sure i can make them fit as per im not afraid to have to do a little work to the wheel well.i was hoping to find someone has already done it so i could see a pic of how it looks.
